Last night at the 2014 Broadcast Digital Awards, BBC Stargazing Live won the ‘Best Content Partnership’ award for its collaboration with the Zooniverse and, more specifically, the SpaceWarps project. They beat off competition from David Attenborough and Hollyoaks among others! You can read more about the award here. Well done to all involved, especially Amit Kapadia, the lead developer of the site, Michael Parrish for keeping the site alive under extreme traffic, David Miller for making it look awesome, and Aprajita Verma, Phil Marshall & Anupreeta More who are the scientists behind the project. Finally, we could not have done it without the overwhelming response from thousands of volunteers. Thanks to everyone who took part and made it such a special event!
After also receiving an award for Operation War Diary earlier this year we are talking about getting a trophy cabinet installed at Zooniverse HQ 😛
