This Galaxy Zoo image has produced a lot of comments on Talk from volunteers who are reminded of other things by the shape of these merging galaxies. One volunteers suggested it was like the spaceship from Close Encounters of the Third Kind, while others thought it was similar to Pilot from Farscape or the giant space-jellyfish creatures from the first episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation.
