In recent years we’ve developed a Zooniverse Corporate Volunteering program, partnering with over a dozen companies including Microsoft and Verizon. Through this program, employees have contributed over a million classifications each year. This initiative has been a wonderful new way to grow our community of volunteers and is a vital source of philanthropic support for the sustainability of Zooniverse.

In addition to employees’ individual participation in Zooniverse, we occasionally facilitate virtual events for our corporate partners (typically 60 minutes in length).  We are currently looking for 2-3 persons interested in facilitating these virtual volunteering events for our corporate partners.

We’ll provide training

Over the past few years we’ve developed a facilitation template and slide deck that can be adapted to a person’s style to lead these virtual events. The template includes an overview of how Zooniverse works, instructions for how to participate in the project of the day, stories of impact across Zooniverse, reflection questions, etc. We will teach you how to use the template and will provide the training and support you may need to be successful in your role.

Following this link you can find more information on the training we’ll provide, the structure and expectations for the role.
