We have a really cool new project and we need your help!
Mapping Change invites you to help us understand and respond to the changes that plants, animals, fungi and other living things are experiencing as humans alter the world’s habitats and climate.
Poised on the edge of a major transition from grasslands to boreal forests, the upper midwest of North America is a great place to document these impacts. Detailed knowledge of where species are now, and have been in the past, is needed to forecast where species may end up in the future. Predictions like these will help us understand the effects of change on biodiversity, as well as providing critical guidance for conservation efforts in response to climate change and other factors.
Help us map the current and future distributions of these creatures by transcribing labels at www.zooniverse.org/projects/zooniverse/mapping-change.

I haven’t posted much about the Zooniverse lately because I was/am immersed in writing, but it’s only on the backburner for now, not forgotten. If you like science, like to help and have a little time on your hands, check it out. Every assessment and classification helps, and the Zooniverse has projects for everyone, from counting animals in the Serengeti to counting craters on the moon to looking through old records in archives. Check it out, it’s fascinating.
