What’s Mandarin for ‘awesome’?

The Zooniverse is very excited to announce that we have released a Mandarin version of Galazy Zoo. It is written in traditional Chinese characters, which are mostly used in Taiwan, Hong Kong and Guangzhou. The site was introduced to the public on the Open House Day of Academia Sinica, the highest academic institution in Taiwan, to very positive reviews.

It is hoped that this translation will help open up citizen science to a large group of people who do not speak English. We already offer some of our projects in Polish, and very soon we will be releasing sites in other languages too. Read more (in English or Mandarin) about the Mandarin version of Galaxy Zoo and the translation process in the blog post here.
