zorilla

A zorilla? No! A zorilla is actually a member of the weasel family and is also called the ‘striped polecat’. They are one of the 48 species options on Snapshot Serengeti but are notoriously camera shy. This image is pretty much the most clear picture of one to be identified so far in the project. In fact one of our volunteers ‘thowes’, who was first to comment on this image, was delighted as it meant they had finally managed to see all 48 of the species to be classified in the project!
