Sometimes when we’re trying to observe the distant Universe our own galaxy can get in the way. This image from Galaxy Zoo is actually a close-up of the Orion Nebula, a gigantic cloud of mostly hydrogen which lies within our own galaxy the Milky Way. You can see a zoomed-out version here.
