The scientists behind the Condor Watch project are trying to gauge the health of the condors in the southwestern United States (among many other factors). One of the clever ways they do this is by placing a set scales in front of the camera traps so that when the huge birds land on them they can measure their weight. This one looks like it’s keeping an eye on its weight itself!
