This graphic shows precisely where all the Snapshot Serengeti camera traps are located within Tanzania and the Serengeti National Park itself. There are 225 cameras in total. They are arranged in a grid layout with each camera at the centre of a 25 square-km grid cell. The actual position of each camera was chosen as the closest suitable tree (providing good shade and without too much long grass) to the centre of the grid cell.
