You don’t get much prettier in terms of kelp beds found on Floating Forests than this amazing swarm of green around San Nicolas Island, one of the Channel Islands off the coast of California, currently owned by the U.S. Navy. At Floating Forests, San Nicolas is famous for having some of the most lush kelp in the entire California data set, and this pic is one of the best examples of those beds.
