Briana Harder is blurring the lines between citizen scientist and scientist. A native of Calgary, Alberta, and currently based in Los Angeles, she has been involved with the Zooniverse since 2010 as a citizen scientist, participating in projects ranging from solar physics to nematode biology. Briana has always taken an active role in the community, now she’s taking a step onto the other side, writing image processing algorithms to filter and improve the quality of the images on Floating Forests, diving into the world of Landsat imagery and kelp.
Keep up the amazing work Briana!
There are probably a lot of image processing programmes already written, it is just a question of searching for them.
