Although it looks very much like a Cyclone Center subject, the above image is actually from the NOAA and shows Hurricane Patricia, the strongest storm ever measured by humans in the western hemisphere.

Cyclone Center scientist Dr. Chris Hennon tells us that the storm is “expected to come ashore into Mexico later today  with devastating effect.” It looks bad, but we hope Mexico will be okay; they are bearing down and getting prepared.
