Ten years ago today, the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter reached Mars and went into orbit around the Red Planet. The MRO carries aboard the cameras that beam back the images used on Planet Four and Planet Four: Terrains. To celebrate its ten year anniversary, project scientist Meg Schwamb has made an excellent interactive timeline showing the major highlights in the MRO mission and the Planet Four project.
