Old Weather is the second oldest Zooniverse project that is still running, and yesterday was its 6th birthday! It was launched back in 2010 to enlist the help of volunteers to collect climate information from millions of pages of old ship’s logbooks. Over the years our amazing volunteers have completed many of the logbooks, but there is still lots of work to be done! The pages not only contain climate data, but fantastic historical information covering location, crew complement, life aboard the ship, and much more.
