We’ve launched a brand new art history project and we need your help!

By transcribing an archive that’s part history, part love story, Mutual Muses will unlock the data contained in the private correspondence between two significant figures from the contemporary art world: critic and curator Lawrence Alloway and artist Sylvia Sleigh.

The Digital Art History program at the Getty Research Institute aims to provide the public with new opportunities for meaningful engagement with digitized cultural heritage collections. Your transcriptions of these revealing, intimate, and often colorful letters will greatly enhance an important resource for a global network of art historians.

Get involved right now at www.zooniverse.org/projects/melissaagill/mutual-muses, and check back every two weeks for new letters.
