The Bat Detective project is now one year old. In the last 365 days over a quarter of a million classifications of recordings containing bat calls have been made. The project aims to learn more about the different calls used by various bat species for echolocation and socialisation. They also want to monitor the status of bat populations, which can help tell us about the health of the natural environment as a whole, as bats are distributed throughout the world. Did you know, one in every five mammals is a bat? Help the cause now at http://www.batdetective.org/.
