wormwatchlab

If you’re looking for a new citizen science project to try out, you could do a lot worse than Worm Watch Lab. This great little project involves viewing short videos of nematode worms wriggling around under a microscope and the only task you need to do is click a button when you see them lay an egg. Despite the simple set-up the results from this project are of huge importance. You clicks help the scientists behind the project to better understand the genetics of these worms, and in turn that means we can learn more about how our own genes work. This could have major implications for the fight against cancer and mental health issues. Try it out now at www.wormwatchlab.org
