Name an Asteroid!

first-light

What do Stephen Hawking, Carl Sagan and John Lennon have in common? They all have an asteroid named after them. We have teamed-up with First Light Magazine to offer you the chance to share the same privilege. By participating to this free contest, you can win the opportunity to name an asteroid!

Want to enter? That’s easy – just download the free First Light Magazine app, (Through App store:, Google Play, or Amazon) Then download the free demo issue of First Light Magazine #1 and answer these 3 questions:

– In which Indian city does the special report “India bets on its astronomers” take place?

– In the large infographic of “Jupiter, planet of the clouds”, what can you see, flashing in the atmosphere of the giant?

– What is the name of the Zooniverse project for which the goal is to detect near Earth asteroids? (Get involved in it today, and potentially find your own asteroid!)

Do you have an answer for each of those questions? Fill them out using this form before April 19th. The name of the winner, chosen by a random draw, will be announced at the NEAF – the world’s largest astronomy expo (April 18th-19th).

Good luck!
