To celebrate the announcement of the first results from Space Warps, I thought it was fitting that this week’s amazing galaxy should be a gravitational lens. The red arc in this image from Galaxy Zoo is the light from a distant galaxy being distorted by the mass of the galaxy in the foreground. They are pretty rare events.
