It gives me enormous pleasure to welcome Dr Ali Swanson to the Zooniverse team. She started work with the rest of us in Oxford this week. Ali recently obtained her doctorate in ecology from the University of Minnesota. During her time there she was integral to setting up and running Snapshot Serengeti, one of our most popular projects. This involved spending a lot of time working on the data gathering side of the project in Tanzania (she often can be spotted in Snapshot Serengeti images, like the one above). It’s great to have you on board Ali!
