We’re excited today to announce another new Zooniverse project launching today on our new platform… in fact, it’s more like two projects in one. Say hello to Season Spotter!
Season Spotter is a partnership between Zooniverse, Harvard University, and the National Ecological Observatory Network (NEON) to track the shifting of climate patterns through phenology: the study of the changing of the seasons. By exploring the flora visible in images taken across North America and beyond, you can help researchers learn more about biology, the earth’s climate, and how it may be changing.
The reason Season Spotter is two projects in one is that you can choose to either answer questions about the images, or, for the full experience, answer questions and mark features in the interface. Both are extremely helpful; it’s up to you which suits your style.
